Wetpour safer surfaces

Perfect for schemes with critical fall height requirements, and for areas that call for year round, all weather usage. Wetpour's impact absorption and design capabilities are second to none.

Mixed on site and laid onto an engineered sub-base, this product typically comprises of two layers. The wearing course comprises EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) granules bound together with a polyurethane binder, meaning you can choose from a range of colours and designs.

The base layer consists of recycled truck tyres (Styrene Butadiene Rubber) which provides impact absorption to meet the required critical fall height.

Benefits include:
  • Low long-term cost of ownership
  • Minimal maintenance requirements
  • All year surface, minimal lost days of use
  • Flexibility to include designs, patterns and themes to enhance the play experience

Before any safety surfacing can be installed, it is important that careful consideration is taken in regards to critical fall heights. This is based on the height of the highest piece of equipment that a child could possibly stand on.

The critical fall height will then determine the thickness required for safer surfacing to ensure that it absorbs the impact as required by BS EN 1177:1998 and BS 7188.

Combine stunning colours and shapes with wetpour.
